Given the rapid increase in the number of domestic foundations and the enactment of the Charity Law in 2016, there is a pressing need within the practical field for an action-oriented guide providing legal guidance for the grantmaking activities of foundations. To address this need, and under the framework of the aforementioned project, The Asia Foundation supported the Shanghai ForNGO Social Organization Legal Research and Service Center in developing the Compliance Manual for Foundation Grantmaking Projects. The primary target audience for this manual is foundation practitioners, including board members, senior management, and grantmaking officers.
